Ellen Huston Blog Hop: Celebration Lady
Hello and welcome to your next stop on the Ellen Hutson Blog Hop! I know you just came from an inspiration packed stop at the talented Julie's blog and all that lovely confetti, so how about a new Leading Lady to help you celebrate even more?
This lady was so much fun to design, from her dress to her tiny eyelashes, all her accessories (most of which make me want to eat and dance), and the lighthearted nature of her sentiments, she was just what I needed this season, and I imagine that might go for you, too.
Here's a little bit more about her in this quick Story Behind the Stamp video I made:
Because I'm one for celebrating the smallest moments in life as much as the biggest, I had to make a few cards from just her simple accessories:
Now that I'm practicing my Copic marker skills a bit more, I couldn't stop myself when it came to this set - she's so much fun to color! I might have used all my colors on this confetti and streamer filled background:
Inspired by so many of you who've been making and sharing projects with these ladies, I've started playing around more with what part of the lady I use on the card, which also stretches how many cards I can make with one lady when I'm shorter on time.
I love the peek of her dress and feet, especially with everything raised just a bit down the center of the card.
I'm already coloring and planning more cards, making some for my new friends who share their creations with me (look at those Crafty Ladies!).
If you haven't grabbed her yet, the Celebration Lady might be just the cheer you need. You've got more inspiration ahead, though, and the amazing Carissa is next, so there's no time to waste in getting to her blog for the next stop on this hop.
