Ellen Hutson Blog Hop: Photo Lady
Hello, and welcome from Julie's blog!
There's so much goodness in this month's Ellen Hutson release, and I'm so happy to get to share the newest Leading Lady, the photo lady, with you today.
Inspired by all the incredible photographers I've been lucky to know, those who are their family's documenters, those who help capture memories for others on their special days, those who would never label themselves this way, but who still always seem to get just the perfect capture of that moment I was worried I'd forget, and those who snap and share the beauty of the world in places I may never see in person. In some way, I think we're all a Photo Lady, and I've made a short video to tell you a little more about the inspiration behind the set, the set itself, and the first batch of cards I made:
Friends, her striped shirt and sneakers make me happier than they probably should, but she was so much fun to add color to for this simple card:
This lady's sentiments are perfect for a number of occasions, but I was so glad to use this one to create an apology card. I'm a firm believer we should always have some of these on had for when we need help pulling our feet out of our mouth, and there's nothing like a little humor to soften the situation. For this card, I created a quick, simple striped of pattern with the cameras adding one colorful, popped up camera on top of one. I love how one small accessory stamp can stretch a set so much when it comes to making quick, but beautiful cards.
I don't really have words for this one except to say that I want to give this card to every lady I meet because seriously, we are all SO AWESOME. Filters are fun (and some are so funny), but none of us need them to be any more incredible than we already are.
I also couldn't help pairing some previous ladies with the new sentiment stamps. I've been having so much fun this year experimenting with what images I live as simple black and white lines, and what gets a pop of color.
Speaking of pairing these ladies together, did you see what the incredibly talented Ardyth did with the Cozy Lady and the Photo Lady? AMAZING.
You can pick up the Photo Lady in the Ellen Hutson shop along with the rest of the incredible release. Haven't had a chance to pick up any of the ladies yet? Ellen is offering a set of all the available ladies as a bundle, and there's a discount on the set (both for stamps and dies)!
Now it's time to head over and visit Carissa for more inspiration!
