December Daily 2016: Day 1
I love this project more and more each year, and I am finding myself so relieved to be settling into the rhythm of these daily reflections again.
This year, I made a few pages prior to day one so that I could capture a few of our decorations and their stories, as well as my annual wish list. I was also reminded how dangerous it is for me to print on transparencies, because it starts with one, and then I find myself swimming in them.
It was fun to give more space to some of my favorite decorations, and I see a lot more of this in my future.
Paper chains forever and ever.
Okay, maybe paper chains AND bottlebrush trees forever.
This year I am changing things up a bit and writing a love letter each day. Some of these will be long, some short, some to myself, some to others, some to objects, and let's be honest, there will be at least one to food.
Sometimes a letter to myself is the best way to get through to my somewhat stubborn heart.
And of course, my December 1st story....books.
*as always, some typos go unnoticed until after I photograph the pages (OF COURSE THEY DO), but while some will be corrected and some won't, I don't take the time to reshoot and repost, so rest assured, I saw the errors, little boogers that they are, I am just not updating the photos I share.
